What are the job responsibilities of an HCC Coder?
- Evaluate the medical records and be responsible for assigning the correct ICD-10-CM diagnostic codes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare rules, regulations, and internal quality standards.
- Utilize EMR / EHR systems and risk-adjusting coding tools to retrieve data, assign codes, and results for review.
- Perform self-audits and participate in external and internal audits to ensure adherence to CMS risk management principles.
- Recognize the trends in documentation inconsistency or coding issues and try to resolve them for process improvement.
- Coordinate with the clinical teams to improve the coding standards and implement consistency.
- Supporting better clinical outcomes through meticulous and compliant coding.

Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (B.Sc) from a recognized institute in India.

- Graduated in any of the Sciences and health-related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM coding rules and familiar with Medical Terminologies.
- Minimum 01 year of experience is required in HCC coding.
