The CBI has released the notification for recruiting the Special Public Prosecutor in the Crime Branch to conduct the trial of cases in court, The job will be contractual with 3 years of serving in the CBI.

CBI Public Prosecutor Recruitment Eligibility

• Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB)
• Candidates must be registered under BAR council as an Advocate
• Candidates must have experience in Court duty during the trial of Criminal cases / in the Investigation of Criminal cases.
• Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in handling criminal cases.

Period of Contract

• It is a Full-time Job on a Contract basis
• The duration of service is 3 Years.
• The contract could be terminated by CBI at any time. (Read the official Notification, link given in the article)

CBI Public Prosecutor Recruitment 2024 Selection Procedure

• The application of candidates will be examined carefully for shortlisting the eligible applicants. 
• Shortlisted Applicants will be called for an Interview by the CBI

Job Responsibilities

• The duty is to conduct trials of pending cases in CBI and conduct appeals in CBI Courts located in Mumbai
• To give a weekly case report to the Head of the Branch.

Working Hours and Infrastructure

• The Personnel needs to work as per the CBI working timings.
• No extra charges will be paid for late work or coming on Holidays.
• Working facilities will be provided at the working place

• Advocate Enrollment Certificate with Bar Council
• Consent to work on the general terms and conditions authorized by the Indian Government. 
• List of Cases Handled by the Candidates

Copies of the above-mentioned document needed to be submitted along with the application.
