Job Responsibilities
- Identify the serious adverse events (SAEs) and some special scenario cases, such as lack of efficacy, exposure, pregnancy cases, product quality complaint-related cases, and other related cases.
- Utilize the standard medical dictionaries like MedDRA to code and report safety and clinical data, Patient medical history, Laboratory test results, and reported adverse events.
- Review and evaluate the case history to determine if it is new or a follow-up.
- Gain Practical knowledge and experience of the basic principles of processing patient safety cases.
- Stay informed and knowledgeable about the rules and guidelines requirements for ICSR submissions.
- Ensure consistency in medical Coding practices to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Upload and attach all the important and related documents, such as source data, safety information, follow-up details, and query responses to each case file.
- Prepare clear and concise case summaries based on clinical information obtained from case files and source materials.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Life Sciences (B.Pharm / B.Sc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, healthcare, or science-related field.
- Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based software.
- Both freshers and experienced professionals are welcome to apply for the job role.
Skills Required
- Understanding of Case-handling processes and the Overall drug research procedure.
- Basic Knowledge of Pharmacovigilance concepts and drug safety parameters.
- Dedicated and keen interest to learn new skills across the domain.
- Good Cognitive abilities such as verbal reasoning, focus on details, and
- Strong Problem Analysis and Critical thinking abilities.
- Familiar with the ICSRs guidelines, MedDRA, Medical Terminologies, and Therapy areas.
Drug Safety Associate Salary
