Job Role
- Review National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) edits to update and revise ICD-10-CM and CPT codes and modifiers.
- Audit clinical documents, medical records, and apply CPT codes for surgical procedures, vaccines, and Lab testing services.
- Safeguard all patient health information by ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Flexible in adopting new standards or regulatory updates from CMS, AMA, and AHA guidelines.
- Experience in retrieving data from medical records and implementing screening-related HCPCS and CPT codes.
- Capable of working independently under the observation to organize coding tasks.
- Resolve edits within the specified time frame to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage and prioritize all assigned tasks within a time frame.
- Accountable for verifying if all medical records are coded correctly.
Skill & Experience
- Proficient in HCPCS, CPT, and ICD coding systems.
- Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology, Human Anatomy & Physiology.
- Certified with CPC / COC / CIC / CCA / CCS
- Expertise in the security of systems and policies.
- Excellent Communication skills.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm)
- Candidates must be AAPC and AHIMA certified.
- Eligible Certificates are CPC, CCS, CIC, and COC
- Only Freshers are welcome to apply for the post.
