Job Role
- Implement ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes with a minimum 95% accuracy rate and in compliance with coding department standards.
- Review patient data both inpatient and outpatient daily according to the coding department’s schedule.
- Stay consistent in achieving productivity goals for coding and data entry of both inpatient and outpatient records.
- Accountable for coding medical records to organize patient medical data used in statistical reporting, healthcare planning, and hospital reimbursement.
- Actively involved in coding meetings, discussions, and education workshops to nurture coding skills and to build accuracy in coding.
- Comfortable working for additional hours or shift changes.
- Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and minimize unnecessary disruptions.
- Responsible for verifying if all medical records are coded accurately.
- Promote a cooperative work environment with both departmental and hospital team members.
- Manage and prioritize all assigned tasks within a time frame.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy / Lifesciences (B.Pharm / B.Sc)
- Candidates must be AAPC and AHIMA certified.
- Certified coder with a valid certificate number.
- Freshers are welcome to apply for the post.
Essential Skills & Expertise
- Basic Understanding of Medical Terminology, Human Anatomy & Physiology.
- Certified with CPC / COC / CIC / CCA / CCS
- Certified through AAPC or AHIMA
- Multitasking and Time Management skills.
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Freshers and experienced both are welcome to apply for the job.
