Clinical Data Coder Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide regular safety reports highlighting trends, important metrics, and potential risks to help in making the right decision.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve coding issues and ensure proper representation of medical coding.
- Observe the assignment of dictionaries to ensure alignment with study objectives.
- Describe and manage coding best practices.
- Implement standardized coding practice to precisely code medical terminology and medications.
- Stay updated with the latest knowledge of medical terminology, drug dictionaries like WHO drugs and MedDRA.
- Actively engage in coding-related QA and QC tasks.
- Follow up with the data management system to execute coding activities and assist in preparing reports on coding status.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Pharmacology
- Bachelor’s degree in a Healthcare-related field.
- Excellent knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Expertise in utilizing MedDRA and WHO drug dictionaries for medical coding purposes.
- Working experience in a clinical trials setup or within the pharmaceutical industry.
